New Book Study Group: RADICAL MYCOLOGY

Monday, July 25, 2016 - 7:30pm to 9:00pm

RADICAL MYCOLOGY is a brand new compendium of provocative ideas and practical information relating to the history, mythology, biology, use and potential applications of fungi.  Classified as neither animal or plant, mushrooms have long mystified and fascinated scientists and epicureans, herbalists and foragers, artists and naturalists alike. Peter McCoy's new book shares every reason why The Kingdom of Fungi deserves our focused attention and appreciation.

You can order the book here, and if you find the 600+ pages a little daunting, join Weavers Way Member and Founder of the Homegrown Institute, Sarah Gabriel once a month for a study group, to make navigating this 'treatise on seeing & working with fungi'  more fun and more manageable. Monday evening, July 25th is the first session. If you are interested in participating, you can email Sarah directly or contact the Co-op's Membership Department for more info.  The study group is free.
