Members are invited to come together for a Spring General Membership Meeting that will be Zero Waste!

Join us in making this a 100 percent waste-free event: Bring your own dishes, utensils, napkins and cups, or rent complete sets from the Weavers Way Environment Committee for $1. Proceeds will support the committee’s grant program for local, small-scale greening projects.

There will be a free buffet dinner catered by Weavers Way's awesome Prepared Foods department, complete with wine, beer, soft drinks, coffee, tea and cake.

Bring the kids — the whole family is welcome. The grounds of the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education are beautiful and artist and teacher Mindy Flexer will be on hand to engage your children in art activities with help from Summit Children’s Program. Adults can then be free to participate in the meeting and enjoy a presentation by zero-waste expert and consultant Alisa Shargordosky.

Annual membership meetings play a big part in any co-op. At this meeting, not only are directors chosen to sit on our board, but broad policies might be drawn up and important updates on current operations are provided.  Co-ops are a mutual undertaking, and it’s essential for management and members to work together. And while we’re at it, we can have some fun, too.
