Pennypack Farm Sustainability Film Series: 'Seed: The Untold Story'

Tuesday, April 18, 2017 - 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Join Pennypack Farm and Education Center at the Ambler Theater for a screening of "Seed: The Untold Story." In less than a century of industrial agriculture, our once abundant seed diversity has been winnowed down to a handful of mass-produced varieties. But seed libraries, community gardens and a new generation of passionate young farmers are cropping up to shift the balance toward a more sustainable and sovereign seed paradigm.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for a Sponsor Expo in the lobby; the film rolls at 7:30.

About the series: Pennypack Farm and Education Center presents three nights at the movies followed by discussion groups led by panels of experts. Each movie delves into a different aspect of sustainability. Learn how your small changes can make a big difference to the world.

Here are the films in the series:

"Farmland," Tuesday, Feb. 21
"Sustainable," Tuesday, March 21
"Seed: The Untold Story," Tuesday, April 18

A subscription for all three films is $24; single tickets are $10. Purchase online or at the box office. For more info, visit www.amblertheater.org/pennypack.
