Workshop: Intro to Backyard Chicken Keeping

Friday, June 3, 2016 - 5:30pm to 7:00pm

Here's another chance to learn about keeping chickens in your own backyard! Join Weavers Way Member and Founder of Philadelphia Backyard Chickens Maureen Breen on the Henry Got Crops farm at Saul High School for a free workshop that will help you decide if you want to take your urban homestead to the next level! We will talk about types of chickens, coops, food, protection, care requirements, and those wonderful eggs! For more info or to RSVP: outreach@weaversway.coop / 215-843-2350 x 18. Drop-ins welcome, too!

Weavers Way Workshops are a function of our evolving member-to-member exchange network. Nearly all member-driven workshops are free and open to the public. Weavers Way members who lead workshops, receive three hours of household credit towards a standing 5% stackable discount on all their purchases at the Co-op. Interested in leading a workshop? Contact The Membership Department at 215-843-2350 x 119 or write to outreach@weaversway.coop.
