Workshop: Manage Lead Risks at Home

Thursday, July 28, 2016 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Learn about lead paint hazards, the law, and methods to keep children safe from lead paint in an older home? Join WW Coop  member Bruce Murray, EPA certification lead program educator to discuss the hazards in pre-1978 built homes and neighborhoods.

We will discuss dangers DIY and non-compliant contractors create, the laws about Lead Safe home improvements, what your home improvement contractor should have told you, how to purchase home services that are good for the family and what you need to know to preserve the look of your home, and control the Lead risks lurking there. Tools and techniques for your home will be presented and audience concerns will be addressed.

Bruce P. Murray is a Weavers Way Co-op Member and an EPA RRP Rule lead safe certification educator with over 30 years of professional home improvement services, including original window and door preservation, repair and replication.
