Even in summer, Weavers Way members give back, participating in our Summer Food Drive and Together We Grow Phase II, and also try to make some progress on the big problems. (One word: "Plastics.") Also in the August Shuttle: news from the Farm Market, the Chicken Chronicles and some late-summer garden ideas. Find it online or in your snail-mailbox (it's a benefit of membership!) or pick up a copy in the store.

Main Line natives Ryan Williamson and Kevin O’Connor returned to the Big Island of Hawaii two years ago to continue their bee-hive product enterprise after several years of struggling to get their Delaware Valley bees to make enough honey to sell. So far, everyone’s doing fine, especially the bees.

Phase II of our Together We Grow campaign was a great success! We raised $430,000 in member loans and $25,000 in increased member equity. Thank you to the 158 member households that participated in this second phase of our capital-raising campaign — we beat our goal, which was $400,000!
