Workshop Thursday: Session #3 of Active Hope POSTPONED!!

Thursday, October 13, 2016 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Led by lifelong scholars, activists and Weavers Way Co-op members Lynne Iser and Mordechai Leibllng,  this third workshop in a series of three is being re-scheduled because Lynne and Mordechai have decided to travel to Standing Rock to join the protests against the construction of the  Dakota Access Pipeline.  Be on the look-out for the announcement of a new date, or contact the Weavers Way Membership Department to let us know you'd like to be personally notified when the session is re-scheduled.

When the workshop resumes, Lynne and Mordechai will continue to delve into the book Active Hope, written by J. Macy and Chris Johnstone,  using experiential exercises to explore Joanna Macy's "Work that Reconnects."

Active Hope is about finding, and offering, our best responses to the crisis of sustainability unfolding in our world. It offers tools that help us face the mess we’re in and discover how to participate in the collective transition — "The Great Turning" — to a life-sustaining society.

At the heart of this book is the idea that "active hope" is something we do rather than possess. It is a means for clarifying what it is we hope for, and empowering its unfolding.

All three sessions are free.
